The pictures above show us doing read to someone

during the Daily 5.

I was making a candy graph.

This was the Halloween party.
It was fun to do games and activities.

This was the Halloween party.
We did a graph of some candy.  It was fun.
I colored the graph to see how much candy there was.

For science, we made oobleck because we were learning about the states of matter.
It melts in your hands, and then it is hard.

We played a card game for math.  It was a fun comparing numbers game.  Mrs. Berndt made up the game.  We had fun!

The people from the American Legion Auxiliary gave us dictionaries.

This is a student in third grade doing Daily 5.  He is doing read to self.

We were working on the Daily 5 and we have to choose if we want to work on writing or read to someone or listen to reading or word work or read to self.
I was doing read to self.

For  Halloween party, I was a ninja.  I was black.

Here I am on Halloween.  I was a pumpkin.

 I was being silly.

We always count money before lunch.  Here we are trading in our pennies for larger coins.  We have a store where we save our money to buy things.  All of us are good at counting money.  We can buy candy, bookmarks, or a jump rope.  Let's just say, we are good at counting money.

During Homecoming week, these third graders dressed up on Celebrity Day as their football coaches.

This is when we went on a community walk around Toronto.  We saw many buildings around Toronto.  All of us kids liked it.  Some of our parents work at the places.  We took pictures of all the buildings we saw.
