Math
In math class, the focus will be on applying math skills to many real life problems. As students solve problems, they will be encouraged to share explanations of how they solved their problems, and fellow classmates will learn how to ask each other questions to help increase overall mathematical understanding.
Through the use of math games, manipulatives, and projects, the students will develop a better understanding of the relationships that exist between numbers. The children will be writing and solving their own story problems and discovering the many ways that math is used in all parts of life.
